Turkey Burger Bowls
Ingredients
- 1-pound ground turkey
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 ½ cup low fat shredded cheese
- Chopped red onion, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce for serving
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F
- Grease a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray
- Put ground turkey in a bowl. Add egg, salt, and pepper and mix well using your hands.
- Add a small handful of the meat mixture to each muffin cup. Press the meat down and up the sides to create a bowl.
- Distribute cheese evenly among the cups and bake for about 15 minutes until cheese is melted and meat is cooked through. Let cool.
- Using a spatula, carefully work the cups out of the pan and onto a serving plate.
- Add desired amount of lettuce, tomato, onion.
- Drizzle sugar free ketchup/barbeque, mustard, or another light condiment of choice and enjoy!
