Cheesy Taco Shells
Ingredients
- 1 cup low fat shredded cheese
- Pepper to taste
- ½ pound ground turkey
- Shredded lettuce, chopped red onions, diced tomatoes, and other desired toppings
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°
- Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray
- Place 2 piles of ½ cup of cheese on the parchment paper. Season with pepper, if desired.
- Bake for about 5-7 minutes, until cheese has melted and is a little crispy.
- Blot excess grease with a paper towel
- Raise a cooling rack on top of 2 cups placed upside-down on a countertop. Place the cheese in the rack to hang and form shells. Let cool.
- While that’s cooling, cook ground turkey and prepare vegetables. Assemble tacos and enjoy!
