Today is the day! One year since my gastric sleeve surgery! I am proud to say that I am down 140 pounds! It’s not always about the scale though. I’m more comfortable in clothing and the fact that I can physically do a 5k is something I never thought I would do. I work out daily and I look forward to doing it! Before surgery, I was miserable. I couldn’t sleep well. My body hurt all of the time. I was depressed and reluctant to be social because I was nervous about the opinions of others. I could barely play with my son because I’d get winded and have to sit down. I don’t regret my decision and I know that I never will! Now I can play with my son without getting winded. I don’t have to squeeze through places and feel uncomfortable. I’m not anxious to go out in public. I’m not afraid that people are talking about me and my weight. I have a new relationship with food. I’ve figured out what food are best for me to eat and what food I need to avoid. I’ve learned to cook healthier options as well. My whole life has changed because of this surgery and Dr. Snow. I will always be incredibly grateful to him and all of the staff! Thank you for giving me my life back!
