“My weight and food problems date back to my childhood. I used food as a comfort and refuge to emotional situations that I felt were beyond my control. I would eat high fat processed foods until emotionally satisfied only to be discouraged afterwards knowing what I had done. My weight continued to increase and diet plans continued to fail because I had the mindset of wanting to see the results of my ‘hard work’ immediately. It was like a rollercoaster, with my life speeding out of control.
